In my experience, personal injury claims rarely end up in a trial. That doesn’t mean that your case won’t go to trial, but less than ½ of one percent do end up in a trial. Having said that, when you are considering hiring a lawyer, make sure that he or she is a trial lawyer and has experience running personal injury trials. How can you be sure?
Insurance companies keep track of which lawyers go to court and which ones don’t. You want a lawyer that, ‘says what they mean, and means what they say’. In my opinion, if a lawyer has a reputation for going to trial and having success at trial, it will improve your chances of getting a fair and reasonable settlement from the insurance company.
